How To Make Instant Pot Baked Beans

Ingredients

  • 1 pound dried navy beans
  • 6 cups water
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled (optional)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the navy beans and remove any debris. Place them in the Instant Pot along with 6 cups of water. Close the lid and set the valve to sealing.

  2. Cook on high pressure for 30 minutes, then let the pressure release naturally for 20 minutes before manually releasing any remaining pressure.

  3. Drain the beans and return them to the Instant Pot. Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, ketchup, molasses, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to combine.

  4. Close the lid and set the valve to sealing. Cook on high pressure for 20 minutes, then let the pressure release naturally for 10 minutes before manually releasing any remaining pressure.

  5. Carefully remove the lid and stir the beans. If desired, stir in the cooked and crumbled bacon.

  6. Serve the Instant Pot Baked Beans hot as a side dish. Enjoy!
