How To Make Pepper & Lemon Spaghetti with Basil & Pine Nuts

Ingredients
- 8 oz spaghetti
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
- Zest of 1 lemon
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
- 1/4 cup pine nuts, toasted
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss to coat with the garlic and red pepper mixture.

Stir in the lemon zest and juice, and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the spaghetti is heated through.

Remove from heat and stir in the chopped basil leaves and toasted pine nuts. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve hot and garnish with additional basil leaves and lemon zest if desired.
