Ingredients

  • 8 oz spaghetti
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • fresh basil leaves, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook spaghetti according to package directions, then drain and set aside.

  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.

  3. Add diced tomatoes, dried basil, dried oregano, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  4. Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss to combine with the tomato mixture.

  5. Transfer the spaghetti mixture to a baking dish and spread it evenly.

  6. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese.

  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  8. Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.
