Serves:
Ingredients
- 4 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
- 2 lemons, juice and zest
- 3 tablespoons sumac
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
-
In a bowl, combine the lemon juice, lemon zest, sumac, yogurt, minced garlic, cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, and pepper.
-
Place the chicken breasts in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them, making sure they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight if possible.
-
Heat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade, shaking off any excess, and place on the grill.
-
Cook for about 6-8 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is cooked through and nicely charred.
-
Remove from the grill and let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing.
-
Serve the sliced chicken with a dollop of spiced yogurt and garnish with fresh parsley.
