How To Make Indian Spiced Ground Lamb Samosa Recipe

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground lamb
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic paste
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 12 samosa pastry sheets

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and sauté onion until soft.

  2. Add ginger, garlic, cumin, coriander, garam masala, chili powder, turmeric, and salt. Cook for 2 minutes.

  3. Add the ground lamb and cook until browned and cooked through. Remove from heat.

  4. Preheat the oven to 375°F.

  5. Cut each samosa pastry sheet in half diagonally to make triangles.

  6. Place a spoonful of the lamb filling in the center of each triangle and fold the pastry over to form a triangle shape.

  7. Seal the edges with a little water and crimp with a fork.

  8. Place the samosas on a baking tray and bake for 20 minutes until golden brown.

  9. Serve hot with chutney or dipping sauce.
