Ingredients

  • 2 cups of jasmine rice
  • 3 1/2 cups of water
  • 1 stalk of lemongrass, smashed
  • 1/4 cup of chopped cilantro
  • 1 tsp of salt

Instructions

  1. Rinse rice and drain well.

  2. In a pot, combine rice, water, lemongrass, and salt.

  3. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 18-20 minutes, or until rice is tender and water is absorbed.

  4. Remove from heat and let sit for 5 minutes.

  5. Fluff rice with a fork and stir in chopped cilantro.

  6. Serve as a side dish with your favorite main course.
