How To Make Lamb Biryani with Bay Leaf Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 lb lamb, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 cup basmati rice
- 1 onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 tsp cumin powder
- 2 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 2 cups water
- 2 tbsp oil
- Salt, to taste
Instructions

Rinse the rice and soak it in water for 30 minutes.

Heat oil in a pot and add bay leaves, cumin powder, coriander powder, and turmeric powder. Fry for 30 seconds.

Add onion, garlic, and ginger. Fry until the onion is soft.

Add lamb and fry until the lamb is browned.

Drain the rice and add it to the pot. Fry for a few minutes until the rice grains turn opaque.

Add water and salt. Bring to a boil.

Reduce heat and cover the pot. Simmer for 20 minutes until the rice and lamb are cooked.

Let the biryani rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.
