A classic and festive dessert, Christmas Pavlova is a light and airy meringue topped with whipped cream and fresh fruits.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 4 egg whites
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon white vinegar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
- Fresh berries (such as strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries) for topping
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 250°F (120°C).
-
In a clean mixing bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
-
Gradually add the granulated sugar, cornstarch, white vinegar, and vanilla extract to the egg whites, continuing to beat until thick and glossy.

Bake the meringue in the preheated oven for 1 hour 30 minutes or until crisp on the outside and soft on the inside.

Once baked, turn off the oven and leave the pavlova to cool completely inside with the door slightly ajar.

In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream and powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
-
Carefully transfer the pavlova to a serving dish and fill the center with whipped cream.
-
Top with fresh berries and decorate as desired.
