How To Make Anise Ice Cream Recipe

Ingredients
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 tbsp anise extract
- Pinch of salt
- 6 egg yolks
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine heavy cream, milk, sugar, anise extract and salt. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar is dissolved.
- In a bowl, whisk egg yolks until pale yellow in color.
- Slowly pour the hot cream mixture into the egg yolks, whisking continuously.
- Return the mixture to the saucepan and cook over low heat, stirring constantly until it thickens and coats the back of a spoon.
- Strain the mixture through a sieve and let it cool completely.
- Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Transfer the ice cream to a container and freeze for at least 2 hours before serving.
