How To Make Anise and Grapefruit Sorbet

A refreshing and tangy sorbet with the subtle licorice flavor of anise and the bright citrus taste of grapefruit.

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of fresh grapefruit juice
  • 1/2 cup of water
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1 tsp of anise extract

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine water and sugar. Heat over medium-low heat until sugar dissolves.

  2. Remove from heat and stir in grapefruit juice and anise extract.

  3. Let the mixture cool to room temperature.

  4. Pour the mixture into a blender and blend until smooth.

  5. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and freeze according to manufacturer’s instructions.

  6. Transfer the sorbet to a freezer-safe container and freeze for at least 2 hours.
