Ingredients

  • 4 lemons
  • 1 liter of pure alcohol (95% ABV)
  • 800 grams of sugar
  • 1 liter of water

Instructions

  1. Wash the lemons thoroughly and peel them, making sure to avoid the white pith.

  2. Place the lemon peels in a glass jar and pour the alcohol over them. Close the jar tightly and let it infuse for at least 10 days in a cool, dark place.

  3. After the infusion period, prepare the syrup by dissolving the sugar in water over medium heat until it reaches a syrupy consistency.

  4. Let the syrup cool completely, then strain out the lemon peels from the infused alcohol. Combine the infused alcohol with the syrup and mix well.

  5. Transfer the Limoncello into bottles and store them in the freezer for at least 24 hours before serving.

  6. Serve the Limoncello chilled in shot glasses or small liqueur glasses.
