- 1 1/2 cups of gooseberries
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon of water
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
- 1 pre-made tart shell
- 3 egg whites
- 1/2 cup of sugar
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a saucepan, combine the gooseberries, sugar, cornstarch, water, and lemon juice. Cook over medium heat until the mixture thickens, stirring constantly.

Pour the gooseberry filling into the pre-made tart shell.

In a clean mixing bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form.

Gradually add in the sugar while continuing to beat the egg whites until they are glossy and hold their shape.

Spoon the meringue mixture onto the gooseberry filling, spreading it out evenly and making sure to seal the edges.
