Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 whole pineapple
- 1 tablespoon of black pepper
- 2 tablespoons of rum
- 2 tablespoons of honey
- 1 tablespoon of melted butter
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
-
Cut off the top and bottom of the pineapple, then stand it upright on a cutting board. Carefully slice off the skin, following the shape of the pineapple.
-
Cut the pineapple into thick slices, about 1 inch (2.5 cm) thick, and remove the core from each slice.
-
In a small bowl, combine the black pepper, rum, honey, and melted butter. Stir well to mix.
-
Place the pineapple slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush both sides of each slice with the black pepper and rum mixture.
-
Roast the pineapple in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until it starts to caramelize and turn golden brown, flipping the slices halfway through.
-
Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
