How To Make Lime Sherbet

Add some zest to your summer days with this lime sherbet recipe. This sweet and tart cold treat will surely refresh you.

  • 1 cup lime juice, fresh squeezed, (8-10 limes)
  • 2 tbsp lime zest
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 3 cup whole milk


  1. Mix lime juice, lime zest and sugar together in a pitcher. Stir until sugar is completely dissolved.
  2. Stir in milk. The mixture will slightly thicken. This is okay!
  3. Add mixture to ice cream maker. Churn for 20 to 30 minutes, depending on the mixer.

  4. Remove sherbet from ice cream maker and place into a freezer safe container. Freeze for at least 2 hours prior to serving.
  5. Let sherbet sit at room temperature for 10 minutes prior to scooping if mixture is too hard.
