Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Sprinkles for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.

  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the sugar and softened butter until light and fluffy.

  3. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

  4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk.

  5. Fill each cupcake liner 2/3 full with the batter. Add sprinkles on top.

  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  7. Allow the cupcakes to cool completely before frosting and decorating.
