How To Make Spiced Acorn Biscuits

Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup acorn flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup cold unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, acorn flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt.

Add the cold butter to the dry ingredients and use your fingers or a pastry cutter to cut it into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.

In a separate small bowl, whisk together the milk, honey, and vanilla extract. Pour this mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.

Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and gently knead it a few times to bring it together. Be careful not to overwork the dough.

Roll out the dough to about 1/2 inch thickness and use a biscuit cutter to cut out biscuits. Place them onto the prepared baking sheet.

Bake for about 12-15 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown on top.

Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.
