  • 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup finely chopped pecans or walnuts
  • Additional powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.

  3. Stir in the vanilla extract.

  4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour and salt. Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, mixing until well combined.

  5. Fold in the chopped nuts.

  6. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet.

  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the bottoms are lightly golden.

  8. Allow the cookies to cool for a few minutes, then roll them in powdered sugar while still warm.

  9. Transfer the cookies to a wire rack to cool completely.

  10. Once cooled, roll the cookies in powdered sugar again for an extra coating.

  11. Serve and enjoy!
