How To Make Honey & Vanilla Madeleines

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup (120g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup (120g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a madeleine pan.

  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and sugar until pale and fluffy.

  3. Gradually add in the melted butter, honey, and vanilla extract, mixing well.

  4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually fold this into the egg mixture until just combined.

  5. Spoon the batter into the prepared madeleine pan, filling each mold about 2/3 full.

  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until the madeleines are golden brown and springy to the touch.

  7. Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

  8. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
