Easy Banana, Peanut Butter & Nutty Chocolate Madeleines Recipe

These shell-shaped French sponge cakes are too adorable. For our madeleines recipe, we incorporate the flavors of bananas, peanut butter and chocolate.

Total: 15 minutes

  • 3bananasoverripe, mashed
  • oznutty chocolateCut ¾ into shards and reserve ¼ as curls on top, if desired
  • 2eggs
  • ½cuppeanut butter
  • ½cupfull cream milk
  • 1cupbrown sugar

  1. Crack 2 eggs and mix with mashed bananas. Once mixed, add peanut butter and shards of chocolate.

  2. To this mixture, add milk and brown sugar and mix until all ingredients are incorporated and the chocolate and peanut butter chunks are swirling in.

  3. Gradually add in flour until you get a thick, pourable batter.

  4. Scoop out a tablespoon of mixture onto a greased baking tray for each madeleine.

  5. Shave some the nutty chocolate into curls on top of each

  6. Bake for 15 minutes at 400 degrees F or until golden-brown and edges have caramelized.

  7. Cool and serve.

  8. Enjoy!

Recipe Notes

If you want your madeleines to look refined, use a shell tray or mould instead.
