How To Make Almond Florentines

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sliced almonds
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced almonds, flour, sugar, melted butter, heavy cream, vanilla extract, almond extract, and a pinch of salt. Stir until well combined.

  3. Drop tablespoonfuls of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Flatten each mound with the back of a spoon or your fingers.

  4. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.

  5. Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

  6. Once cooled, the almond Florentines will be crispy and ready to enjoy!
