Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup passion fruit juice
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a round cake pan.

  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

  4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.

  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with the passion fruit juice and milk.

  6. Stir in the vanilla extract.

  7. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top with a spatula.

  8. Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  9. Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

  10. Serve the passion cake as is or garnish with powdered sugar, fresh fruit, or whipped cream.
