  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.

  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.

  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, orange juice, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract.

  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing well until the batter is smooth.

  5. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top with a spatula.

  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  7. Remove from the oven and let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

  8. Serve the orange juice cake as is or with a dusting of powdered sugar.
