Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 large eggs
- 1/2 cup blood orange juice
- Zest of 2 blood oranges
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in the vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the blood orange juice. Mix until just combined.

Fold in the blood orange zest and sour cream.

Pour the batter into a greased and floured loaf pan.

Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
