How To Make Spicy Lamb with Chickpeas
Serves:
Ingredients
- 500g lamb, cubed
- 1 onion, diced
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 red chili, sliced
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 can of chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 400g diced tomatoes
- 1 cup chicken broth
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh cilantro, for garnish
Instructions
-
Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the lamb and cook until browned on all sides.
-
Remove the lamb from the pan and set aside. In the same pan, add the onion, garlic, and chili. Cook until the onion is soft and translucent.
-
Add the cumin, coriander, paprika, and turmeric to the pan. Cook for a minute until fragrant.
-
Return the lamb to the pan and add the chickpeas, diced tomatoes, and chicken broth. Stir well to combine.
-
Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 1 hour, or until the lamb is tender and the flavors have melded together.
-
Season with salt to taste. Serve hot, garnished with fresh cilantro.
