How To Make Moroccan Ground Lamb Stew with Chickpeas
Warm and savory lamb stew, flavored with spices and served with hearty chickpeas.

Ingredients
- 1 lb ground lamb
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 2 cups chicken or vegetable broth
- 2 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions

In a large pot or Dutch oven, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium-high heat. Add the ground lamb and cook until browned, stirring occasionally.

Add the chopped onion and garlic to the lamb and cook until the onions are tender, about 5 minutes.

Add the chickpeas, diced tomatoes, broth, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper to the pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and let the stew simmer for about an hour.

Taste the stew and adjust seasoning as needed. Garnish with cilantro before serving.
