  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Tex-Mex seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 4 burger buns
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • Lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles (for toppings)
  • Condiments of your choice (such as ketchup, mayo, or barbecue sauce)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, Tex-Mex seasoning, and salt. Mix well to combine.

  2. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties.

  3. Preheat a grill or stovetop grill pan over medium heat. Cook the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked to your desired doneness.

  4. In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty and allow it to melt.

  5. Toast the burger buns on the grill for a minute until slightly crispy.

  6. Assemble the burgers by placing a patty on the bottom half of each bun, then adding your desired toppings and condiments.
