How To Make Baumkuchen Recipe

Ingredients

  • 6 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup rum
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.

  2. In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until light and fluffy.

  3. Gradually add the flour, melted butter, rum, salt, and vanilla extract to the egg mixture. Mix until well combined.

  4. Pour a thin layer of the batter into the greased cake pan and spread it evenly.

  5. Place the cake pan under the broiler for a few minutes until the batter is lightly browned.

  6. Repeat the process of adding a thin layer of batter and broiling until all the batter is used.

  7. Once all the layers are baked, remove the cake from the pan and let it cool.

  8. Serve the Baumkuchen sliced into thin rings. Enjoy!
