Ingredients

  • 1 lb of white fish fillets, cut into chunks
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup of shiitake mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 tbsp of ginger, minced
  • 4 cups of fish or vegetable broth
  • 2 tbsp of soy sauce
  • 1 tsp of chili flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cilantro and lime wedges, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a pot, sauté onion and garlic until fragrant.

  2. Add red bell pepper, mushrooms, and ginger, cook for about 5 minutes.

  3. Pour in broth, soy sauce, chili flakes, salt and pepper, and bring to a boil.

  4. Reduce heat to medium, add in fish fillets, and simmer for about 10-15 minutes or until the fish is cooked through.

  5. Serve hot with cilantro and lime wedges.
