Ingredients
- 2 green plantains, peeled and sliced into 1-inch rounds
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 lime
Instructions

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Fry plantain slices until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.

Using a tostonera or the bottom of a heavy mug, smash each plantain round.

Refry the smashed plantains until crispy, about 1-2 minutes per side.

Sprinkle with salt and squeeze lime juice over the top before serving.
