How To Make Long John Silver’s Fish and Chips
A classic seafood dish featuring crispy battered fish and golden fries.

Ingredients
- 4 cod fillets
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup beer
- 4 large potatoes, cut into fries
- vegetable oil, for frying
Instructions

Preheat oven to 200°F.

In a bowl, mix together flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt.

Gradually add beer and whisk until a smooth batter forms.

In a deep fryer or large pot, heat vegetable oil to 375°F.

Dip each cod fillet in the batter, then carefully place it in the hot oil.

Cook for 5-7 minutes or until golden brown, then remove and place on a paper towel-lined plate to remove excess oil.

In a separate pot, fry the cut-up potatoes until golden brown and crispy.

Drain excess oil and place on a paper towel-lined plate.

Serve the fish and chips with tartar sauce or malt vinegar.
