How To Make Lemon Roast Chicken Recipe
A delicious roasted chicken with a tangy and citrusy kick.

Ingredients
- 1 whole chicken (about 1.5 kg)
- 2 lemons
- 1 head garlic
- 1 tbsp dried oregano
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 200°C.

Cut one of the lemons in half and slice the other one into thin rounds.

Cut the top off the garlic head and remove the excess papery skin.

Place the chicken in a baking dish and stuff the cavity with lemon halves and garlic head.

Rub the chicken with olive oil and season with salt, pepper and dried oregano.

Arrange the lemon slices on top of the chicken.

Roast the chicken in the preheated oven for 1 to 1 ¼ hours, or until the juices run clear when the thickest part of the chicken is pierced with a knife.

Let the chicken rest for 10 minutes before cutting and serving.
