How To Make Moroccan-style Chicken

Ingredients
- 4 chicken legs
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 1 teaspoon ground paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for extra heat)
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 1 tablespoon honey
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat.

Season chicken legs with salt and pepper, then sear them in the hot oil until golden brown on all sides. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add diced onion and minced garlic. Sauté until onion becomes translucent and fragrant.

Add all the spices (cumin, coriander, turmeric, paprika, cinnamon, ginger, and cayenne pepper) to the skillet. Cook for 1-2 minutes until spices are fragrant.

Pour in chicken broth, lemon juice, and honey. Stir well to combine.

Return the chicken legs to the skillet and coat them with the sauce.

Cover the skillet with a lid or aluminum foil, and transfer to the preheated oven. Cook for 30-35 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and tender.

Remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.

Garnish with fresh chopped cilantro.
