Ingredients

  • 500g bread flour
  • 10g salt
  • 10g sugar
  • 7g instant yeast
  • 300ml warm water
  • 30g butter, softened

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the bread flour, salt, sugar, and instant yeast.

  2. Gradually add in the warm water while mixing until a rough dough forms.

  3. Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes or until smooth and elastic.

  4. Place the dough back into the mixing bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm area for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

  5. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).

  6. Punch down the risen dough and shape it into a loaf. Place it into a greased loaf pan.

  7. Cover the loaf with the kitchen towel and let it rise for another 30 minutes.

  8. Bake the loaf in the preheated oven for 40 minutes or until golden brown.

  9. Remove the loaf from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack before slicing.
