How To Make Cannellini Bean and Sausage Ragout Recipe
A comforting stew of sausage and beans, the perfect dinner for any night of the week.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 lb Italian sausage, sliced
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (15 oz) cannellini beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 tsp dried basil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sausage and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.

Add the onion and garlic to the skillet and sauté until softened, about 3-4 minutes.

Pour in the diced tomatoes, cannellini beans, chicken broth, and dried basil. Season with salt and pepper, as desired.

Bring the ragout to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and let simmer for 20-25 minutes until the sauce has thickened and the flavors have melded together.
