How To Make Canned Spiced Pickled Beets

Ingredients
- 4 medium beets, cooked and peeled
- 1 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 teaspoon whole cloves
- 1 teaspoon black peppercorns
- 1 teaspoon salt
Instructions

Slice the cooked beets into thin rounds or desired shape.

In a medium saucepan, combine apple cider vinegar, water, sugar, cinnamon stick, cloves, peppercorns, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring until the sugar has dissolved.

Add the sliced beets to the saucepan and simmer for 10 minutes.

Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.

Transfer the pickled beets and the liquid into clean, sterilized jars.

Cover tightly and refrigerate for at least 24 hours before serving.
