How To Make Thumbprint Cookies with Jam Recipe
Soft and buttery shortbread cookies filled with your favorite jam.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- Pinch of salt
- 1/4 cup jam (any flavor)
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F.

In a bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Mix in the vanilla extract and egg yolk until well combined.

Add flour and salt and mix until just combined.

Roll dough into small balls.

Use your thumb or the back of a spoon to make a small indentation in each ball.

Place dough balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Fill each indentation with jam.

Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are slightly golden brown.

Let them cool for a few minutes before removing from the baking sheet.
