Preparation: 15 minutes
Cooking: 2 hours
Total: 2 hours 15 minutes

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 400g smoked salmon slices
  • 250g cream cheese
  • 1 lemon, zest and juice
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh dill
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Line a loaf pan with plastic wrap, leaving enough overhang to cover the terrine later on.

  2. In a bowl, mix the cream cheese, lemon zest, lemon juice, chopped dill, salt, and pepper together until well combined.

  3. Layer smoked salmon slices over the bottom and sides of the loaf pan, ensuring to overlap the slices.

  4. Spoon half of the cream cheese mixture over the salmon, spreading it evenly.

  5. Layer more smoked salmon slices over the cream cheese mixture, again ensuring to overlap the slices.

  6. Spoon the remaining cream cheese mixture over the salmon, spreading it evenly.

  7. Cover the terrine with the overhanging plastic wrap, pressing it down gently to compact the terrine.

  8. Place the terrine in the refrigerator and let it chill for at least 2 hours.

  9. To serve, remove the plastic wrap, invert the loaf pan onto a serving platter, and gently lift off the pan. Slice and serve with bread or crackers.
