How To Make Cilantro Lime Farro

Enjoy a healthy, protein-rich rice alternative with a bowl of this cilantro lime farro, cooked in vegetable stock with the spice and aroma of cumin.

  • 1cupfarro,rinsed
  • 3cupsvegetable stock,or chicken stock
  • cupfinely-chopped fresh cilantro leaves,loosely-packed
  • zest and juice of 1 small lime,about 2 tbsp juice
  • ½tspsalt
  • 1pinchcumin
  • 1pinchgarlic powder
  • 1pinchblack pepper


  1. Place farro in a medium saucepan. Add the stock, covering the farro.

  2. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Then reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 30 minutes. Once the farro is cooked and chewy, drain off any excess liquid.

  3. Add remaining ingredients, and stir to combine. Season with extra salt and pepper, if needed. Serve warm.
