Ingredients

  • 8 oz. penne pasta
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh sage leaves

Instructions

  1. Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  2. In a separate saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 2 minutes.

  3. Stir in the pumpkin puree, heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper, and nutmeg. Cook for 5 minutes, until the sauce thickens.

  4. Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and toss to coat evenly. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the pasta is heated through.

  5. Serve hot, garnished with chopped fresh sage leaves.
