Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 cups cooked orzo pasta
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving
  • Fresh basil, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, parsley, milk, egg, garlic, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

  3. Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.

  4. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through and browned.

  6. While the meatballs are baking, cook the orzo pasta according to package instructions.

  7. Heat the marinara sauce in a large skillet over medium heat.

  8. Add the cooked meatballs to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes, until heated through.

  9. Serve the meatballs and marinara sauce over the cooked orzo pasta.

  10. Garnish with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil. Enjoy!
