Ingredients

  • 1 medium cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 250g pasta shells
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish.

  2. Cook the pasta according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.

  3. Steam the cauliflower florets until tender, then set aside.

  4. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute.

  5. Slowly whisk in the milk and continue cooking until the mixture thickens.

  6. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.

  7. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta, cauliflower, and cheese sauce. Mix well.

  8. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.

  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and bubbly.

  10. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
