Ingredients

  • 4 ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup of chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup of chopped nuts (optional)
  • 1/4 cup of shredded coconut (optional)
  • Wooden popsicle sticks

Instructions

  1. Peel the bananas and cut them in half crosswise.

  2. Insert a wooden popsicle stick into the cut end of each banana half.

  3. Place the banana halves on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  4. Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth and melted.

  5. Dip each banana half into the melted chocolate, coating it completely.

  6. If desired, roll the chocolate-coated banana in chopped nuts or shredded coconut.

  7. Place the chocolate-coated bananas back on the baking sheet and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.

  8. Once frozen, remove from the baking sheet and enjoy immediately.
