Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • pinch of salt
  • ground nutmeg for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, sugar, milk, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.

  3. Pour the mixture into 4 individual ramekins or a baking dish.

  4. Sprinkle the tops with ground nutmeg.

  5. Place the ramekins or baking dish in a larger pan filled with hot water.

  6. Bake for 40 minutes or until the custard is set but still slightly jiggly in the center.

  7. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
