How To Make Easy Biscotti Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup almonds, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract.

  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.

  5. Fold in the chopped almonds.

  6. Divide the dough in half and shape each half into a log on the prepared baking sheet.

  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the logs are lightly golden and firm to the touch.

  8. Remove from the oven and let cool for 10 minutes.

  9. Reduce the oven temperature to 325°F (160°C).

  10. Using a serrated knife, carefully slice the logs diagonally into 1-inch thick pieces.

  11. Place the biscotti back on the baking sheet, cut side down, and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until crispy and golden.

  12. Let the biscotti cool completely before serving.
