How To Make Chef John’s Chocolate Croissants

Ingredients

  • 2 sheets of puff pastry
  • 4 ounces of dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1 egg, beaten

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheets and cut each sheet into 4 triangles.

  3. Place a tablespoon of chopped chocolate at the wide end of each triangle.

  4. Roll up the triangles, starting from the wide end, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  5. Brush the croissants with beaten egg.

  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.

  7. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
