  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 egg, beaten
  • coarse sugar for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a mixing bowl, beat the butter and sugar together until creamy.

  3. Gradually add in the flour and salt, mixing until a dough forms.

  4. Divide the dough into small balls, rolling between your palms to form cookies.

  5. Dip each cookie into beaten egg and roll in coarse sugar before placing on the prepared baking sheet.

  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes until the edges turn a light golden brown.

  7. Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
