How To Make Fig Newtons Muffins
A deliciously sweet and fruity muffin, inspired by the classic cookie.

Ingredients
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup dried figs, chopped
Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F.

In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter, eggs, and milk.

Stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.

Fold in the chopped figs.

Spoon the mixture evenly into a greased muffin tin.

Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean.

Allow muffins to cool for a few minutes before removing from the tin.
