Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 large eggs
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine water, milk, butter, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil.

  2. Add flour and stir continuously until mixture forms a ball.

  3. Remove from heat and let cool.

  4. Add eggs, one at a time, stirring well after each addition.

  5. Heat oil in a deep frying pan.

  6. Spoon dough into a pastry bag fitted with a star tip.

  7. Pipe dough into spiral circles into the hot oil.

  8. Fry on each side until golden brown.

  9. Drain on paper towels.

  10. Serve fresh and warm.
