How To Make Tender Duck Legs with Baby Turnips

- 4 duck legs
- 1 pound baby turnips, halved
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon thyme leaves
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 325°F.

Heat the olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.

Brown the duck legs on all sides, about 5 minutes per side.

Remove the duck legs from the skillet and set aside.

Add the baby turnips, garlic, and thyme to the skillet and sauté for 3-4 minutes.

Season with salt and pepper.

Return the duck legs to the skillet and pour in the chicken broth.

Cover the skillet with a lid or foil and transfer to the preheated oven.

Roast for 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the duck is tender and the turnips are cooked through.

Remove the skillet from the oven and transfer the duck legs and turnips to a plate.

Place the skillet back on the stove over medium heat.

Add the butter to the skillet and stir until melted and well combined.

Pour the sauce over the duck legs and turnips.
