How To Make Light Lemon Pesto Pasta Recipe

Ingredients
- 8 oz spaghetti
- 1/2 cup prepared pesto
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lemon, zested and juiced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving (optional)
- Fresh basil leaves, for garnish (optional)
Instructions

Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.

Stir in the prepared pesto, lemon zest, and lemon juice. Cook for another 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss until well coated with the pesto sauce. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to heat through.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve the pasta hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil leaves, if desired.
