  • 8 oz spaghetti
  • 1/2 cup prepared pesto
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lemon, zested and juiced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving (optional)
  • Fresh basil leaves, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.

  3. Stir in the prepared pesto, lemon zest, and lemon juice. Cook for another 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  4. Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss until well coated with the pesto sauce. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to heat through.

  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  6. Serve the pasta hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil leaves, if desired.
